Technical Artist

 

WhiteMoon Dreams is currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to come work on our next exciting project.

 

Responsibilities and Skills

 

  • Work as a link between art and engineering, helping artists understand technical limitations and helping engineering understand artist needs.
     

  • Ability to problem solve and determine out-of-the-box solutions for art needs.
     

  • Analysis and ability to work within real-time engine and hardware limitations.
     

  • Ability to utilize a 3D package (Maya, 3DS Max, etc.).
     

  • Understand how to use profiling tools to determine performance issues.
     

  • Excellent communication skills are required.
     

 

Personality Requirements

 

  • Ability to quickly adapt to production needs.
     

  • Composure to accept constructive feedback, and also offer constructive input when appropriate.
     

  • Drive and Passion to creatively and technically problem solve.
     

  • Self-managed sense of time and tracking related tasks.

 

Pluses

 

  • Experience with UE4.
     

  • Experience with scripting languages.
     

  • Experience dealing with rigs.
     

  • Experience with shader authoring and limitations.
     

  • Interest in VR.
